The De Angelis had to overcome a good performance from Bologna pitcher Frederick Porcaro to claim a 5-4 win at Metro Stars Ballpark. Porcaro went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Godo is now riding a 3-game win streak.
The De Angelis grabbed the lead in the bottom of the eighth. With two out, Spencer Murray hit a 3-run home run off Giomar Buonconte, putting Godo in front, 5-4. For Murray, it was his 8th home run of the season.
"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Murray told the Godo Bulletin. "You win just by scoring more runs."
