Canonicca Helps Fiat Run Win Streak to 8
Grosetto first baseman Marco Canonicca was instrumental in his team's 10-4 win over the San Marino T&A. Canonicca, who is tied for 4th in the SL1 with a .704 slugging percentage, went 2-3 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Fiat. The first-place Fiat have won 8 in a row.

One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the bottom of the third inning. Facing San Marino hurler Raffaello Leoni, Isacco Savino hit a 2-run single. The Fiat went on to win.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Canonicca told the Grosetto Times.
