Petroni Hits 3 home runs in Elettra Energia Win
|
The Novara Elettra Energia knocked off the Parma Cariparma, 10-4, at Parma Stadium. Ambrosi Petroni, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Novara won. The first baseman belted 3 home runs. He scored 5 times and drove in 4. Enrico Parenzan, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings. Their 15-13 record puts the Elettra Energia third in the Serie A1 Italy.
It could have been a different outcome for Novara, had it not been for Benvenuto Moscati, the 18-year old third baseman . Moscati contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Novara up, 3-1.
"We maximized our offense today," said Novara skipper Demetrio Recchia. "That makes everyone's life easier."
