The Godo De Angelis knocked off the San Marino T&A, 6-4, at Ballpark of Milan. Guillermo Galimberti, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Godo won. The first baseman went 1-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit 2 times, while scoring 2 times. Armando Capirossi earned the save, his 7th, for the De Angelis. The third-place De Angelis are now 14-12, the T&A 11-15.
In the top of the second, Godo shortstop Spencer Murray had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 1st and no one out, Murray stroked a 2-run home run to left-center. It made the score 3-0, Godo. For the game, he was 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Godo manager Yvan Massari.
