The rain could not keep the Novara Ballpark crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.

The Novara Elettra Energia eked out a 6-5 win versus the San Marino T&A at Novara Ballpark. Nobody did more than right fielder Renaud Michelozzi, who captured player of the game honors. Novara reliever Nario Zacagnini was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Jacques Bastedo.

Ambrosi Petroni, who is tied for 3rd in the SL1 in home runs with 9, chipped in for Novara with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 3 runs scored, and 1 run batted in.

"If we keep winning the close games," Michelozzi said, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
