The San Marino T&A beat the Novara Elettra Energia, 7-5, at Ballpark of Milan. San Marino right fielder Reginaldo Ratti earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. San Marino reliever Jacques Bastedo picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Faust Carnini absorbed the loss. Ricardo Baruffaldi recorded the save for San Marino, his 2nd of the season.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Claude Bouton came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Novara pitcher Faust Carnini, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting San Marino on top, 6-5.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Bouton said.

San Marino is now 6-10.
