De Angelis left fielder Mathias Amoruso put his stamp on his team's 8-5 win over the Grosetto Fiat. Amoruso went 1 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for Godo in the contest. The winner was Godo reliever Armando Capirossi, now 1-0. The loser was Largo Crivelli. Godo goes to 5-2 with the win.
Amoruso had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the 11th. On a first pitch fastball from Largo Crivelli, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the De Angelis a 8-5 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Amoruso.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Amoruso said.
