Danesi Caffe Fall Short at San Marino
|
The Ballpark of Milan faithful were treated to an exciting walk-off win.
The San Marino T&A outlasted Santo Monasta and the Nettuno Danesi Caffe, 9-8. Monasta was impressive in the loss. The Nettuno right fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. San Marino reliever Ricardo Baruffaldi picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Orsino Malaparte was collared with the loss.
Savino Patti went 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI for San Marino. In a tie game with one out in the bottom of the ninth, Patti came through with a run-scoring single. It put the T&A in front, 9-8.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said San Marino skipper Giovanni Bagliani.
The win takes San Marino to 2-2.
