Slammers Trip Miners in Extras
|
Joilet first baseman Mike Rost made his presence felt in the 6-4 Slammers triumph over the Sussex County Miners. Rost slugged 2 home runs. The Slammers' win now puts them at 32-43.
It could have been a different outcome for Joilet, had it not been for Bob Camfield, the 21-year old center fielder . Camfield contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the 13th inning to put Joilet up, 6-4.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Camfield.
