Wild Things Win Again, Extend Streak to 7
|
Despite a great performance by Lake Erie catcher Mark Smart, the Washington Wild Things defeated the Crushers by the score of 8-5 at Warcats Ballpark. Smart went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Jeff Ervin converted his 2nd save in 2 tries. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for Washington.
Washington second baseman Doug Craddock contributed to the cause with a run-scoring triple in the top of the fourth. For the game, Craddock went 2-3 with a triple and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Washington manager Chad Bender.
