Wild Things Win at Sussex County, 5-2
|
The Washington Wild Things picked up a win at Commodores Ballpark, knocking off the Sussex County Miners, 5-2. Starting pitcher Jeremy Gilcher played a key role in the triumph. At 30-34, the Wild Things find themselves in 4th place in the Frontier League Frontier Division.
It could have been a different outcome for Washington, had it not been for Bryan Anderson, the 18-year old left fielder . Anderson contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth inning to put Washington up, 3-0.
"Feels good to get the job done," Gilcher said after the game.
