Tight Tilt Goes to Aigles, 4-3
|
The Trois-Rivieres Aigles topped the New York Boulders, 4-3, in FRONTIER LEAGUE action at Ballpark of Indianapolis. The player of the game was Trois-Rivieres pitcher and Austin, Texas native Joe Haug. At 36-28, the Aigles find themselves in third place in the Frontier League Frontier Division.
Trois-Rivieres used the bat of Andy Pope to get the win. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Aigles ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Both teams played hard," said Trois-Rivieres manager Sean Laster.
