The Evansville Otters stymied the Southern Illinois Miners, 3-1, at Rocketmen Ballpark. Scott Benham, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for Evansville. With the win, Evansville goes to 32-29, while the Miners fall to 30-31.

Evansville grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Benham hit a 2-run home run. His 11th home run of the season put the Otters out in front, 2-1.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Benham.
