Crushers Win in Extras
The Lake Erie Crushers downed the Schaumburg Boomers, 7-4, at Warcats Ballpark. The Crushers were led by Rusty Finley, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-5 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Lake Erie reliever Enrique Ortiz picked up the win to move to 3-1. Tony Lowenberg suffered the loss. Lake Erie has now won 3 in a row.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 13th. With two out, Finley hit a fastball from Tony Lowenberg for a 3-run home run. The Crushers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Finley said.
