Victory Over Crushers Takes New York to 34-22
|
Justin Thrift never let Lake Erie get something going. The New York left-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Boulders to a 4-1 win. The 'W' lifts New York's record to 34-22.
Brady Behrens had a big 2-run double for the Boulders in the bottom of the fourth inning. With New York leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Jim McKenna and stroked the double to right. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Boulders ahead, 4-0.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Behrens told reporters after the game.
