The Florence Y'alls got a strong performance from pitcher Bill Valentin, who stymied the Trois-Rivieres offense en route to a 7-2 win at Gunners Ballpark. Valentin, the winner, moves to 3-2. Tony Thomas, who is tied for 2nd in the FL in runs scored with 40, aided the Florence cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the second. For the game, the second baseman went 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.
