The Sussex County Miners did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Evansville Otters at Rocketmen Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher John Winge, who captured player of the game honors. Today's win puts Sussex County at 23-29, while Evansville falls to 27-25.
Winge, who was born in Fairfield, California, threw 92 pitches over 6 innings, while allowing no earned runs.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Evansville skipper Matt Bell.
