Antioch Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-2
Rich Swayngim was not about to watch an opponent celebrate a championship on his home field.

The right-hander pitched the Antioch Coal Miners to victory at The Coal Mine, staving off the Calgary Hitmen, who remain one game away from a title. Swayngim threw 5.0 innings of 2-hit ball. The win cuts the series deficit for the Coal Miners to 3-2 in the best-of-7 series.

In the bottom of the eighth, Antioch right fielder Chris Bridgeman had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Bridgeman stroked a bases-clearing double to left. It made the score 9-1, Antioch. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Swayngim.

The next game is set to be played for Monday, October 27th , 2064 at Mckinley Park in Calgary.
