Victory Over Boomers Takes Windy City to 27-17
The Windy City ThunderBolts got a good effort from starter Alex Crittenden in defeating the Schaumburg Boomers at Kings Ballpark. The final score was 8-1. Crittenden picked up the win for Windy City, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. Elijah Patterson picked up the save for Windy City, his 3rd of the year.

With scoring opportunities rare, the ThunderBolts had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the fourth, when third baseman Cody Fitzgerald hit a 2-run double. The double came off Johnny Herrington and made the score 2-0, ThunderBolts.
