Aiken Pins 6-3 Loss on Toronto
The Aiken Thoroughbreds got a strong performance from pitcher Jose Atilano, who stymied the visiting Toronto Blue Jays en route to a win, 6-3, in Game 2 of the Divisional Series. The Blue Jays could never get a bead on the right-handed Atilano, who threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The Thoroughbreds now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.

Second Baseman Henry Herrera made an impact for Aiken, when he swatted a 2-run double off Mario Castellanos in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Herrera went 1 for 5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"Jose gave us everything he had," said Aiken manager David Flecha.

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Exhibition Stadium in Fermont.
