The Dallas Texans had their final staff meeting to finalize rosters for Opening Day. Team owner Marcos Varona was present, and though he is an understanding and generous man, he made it clear that he expects the Texans to reach the playoffs. The model to building the franchise was layed out, and the team looks good. We played fairly well in Spring Training finishing 14-11.. I have a basic philosophy on building a team...
1) SP----An ace is imperative, then a solid #3, then 3 other serviceable SP'ers.
2) A very strong bullpen--Our staff feels we have a very strong bullpen
3) Good defense(which will improve SP)
4) Adequate Speed
5) Timely hitting
5) Leadership
We built the team with this formula in mind, and now we feel we are ready to compete for a Title.
The Texans open the season on the road, but our BALLPARK is Clean and ready to go....

Few hours before the start of a new season, the Jokers are ready to begin. No big surprise on the 25 men lineup but the fact that Gonzalez and McGee made the team show that SP is a bit thin in organisation. Gould will anchor the rotation, Mayer did well in pre-season but after that, we'll see how it will go. The relief is strong and did well lead by Barrett and Coleman. The offense will depend on how St.John, Tracy, Wells, Carey and Jennings will do. We'll have many hits but maybe on little bit of power would have been good.

In Vegas, the organisation believe that they could reach the playoff and owner Angelil cleary annonce that it would be a huge deception to not reach it. He's known to put a bit of pressure on his baseball management team.

So, everything as been said, now it's time to play!

I just want to let you know that i’ll be on acruise in Alaska from saturday 19 of may to sunday 27 of may. I won’thave internet access so i won’t be able to make change in my club. Ithink i’ll have access friday night since i’ll be in a hotel in Vancouver, soi’ll be able to put my initial lineup but won’t be able to make change afterthat. Can you follow my team and make change if an injury occurs. Put the AAA player you judge the best to replace the regular. Thank youin advance. If my roster is not at 25 the saturday night 19, it’s becausei had a internet connexion problem at my hotel so if you can help and put the25 men, i’ll appreciate. I’m sorry for the extra work but after that,i’ll be home most of the summer
