Eclipse Earn Clutch Win, 6-5
|
Chris Hogan did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Cabo San Lucas Toreros from being beaten, 6-5, to the Chicago Eclipse at Millennium Field. Hogan was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Quentin Campbell, now 2-4, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Getting the save was Joe Umlah, his 16th.
Chicago took the lead, 6-5, on Israel Cardenas's 9th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Cabo San Lucas pitcher James Magee in the bottom of the eighth.
Chicago manager Zayar Adelabu was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.
Chicago has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
