Chicago starter Clark Griswold ran into little resistance from Jacksonville hitters, as his team cruised to victory, 11-0. Chicago is in 5th place in the Thurman Munson League Tim Ervin Division with a record of 35-32.

Griswold gave Chicago an exquisite performance. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8.2 innings.

"Not much to say," Jacksonville manager Bill Lomax said, when asked afterward about the defeat.
