The Vancouver Pioneers took on the Bloomington Blazers at Arson Arena.

The Vancouver Pioneers overcame a pretty good performance by Bloomington first baseman Luis Santizo, beating the Blazers, 14-7, at Arson Arena. Santizo was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. Vancouver has a record of 17-11.

Vancouver used the clutch hitting of Wonus Hagner to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pioneers ahead, 12-7. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.

"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Hagner. "But I like how we're playing right now."
