Loachapoka Junebugs starter Raul Frausto pitched his team past the So Cal Republic, 2-1. The win for the Junebugs raised their record to 39-39.

Coming to the plate with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning, Loachapoka second baseman Erik Butler had a chance to be the hero. Facing So Cal pitcher Don Levick with a runner on 2nd, Butler, who finished 5th in the RCL in triples with 8 last year, hit a run-scoring double.

"Not to be Captain Obvious," said So Cal manager Aaron Barnes, "but we need to push more runs across the plate."
