Israel Cancel never let the Republic get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Bison to a win, 3-1. Cancel, now 5-6, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The win makes Bighorn 42-34.

Danny Douglass, who finished 3rd in the RCL in slugging percentage with .514 last year, helped out the Bighorn cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs.
