Eclipse Stumble, Lose to Bison
Millennium Field was the site of the home opener for the Chicago Eclipse. The contest featured a prime matchup between Ben Molter of the visiting Buffalo Bison and Brendan Tucker of the Eclipse. The final score was 8-3, the Bison getting the win. Sammy Gillin turned in the best performance. Ben Molter got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 6 innings, giving up 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1.

Buffalo needed the clutch hitting of Connor Gaudet to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bison on top, 4-1. For the game, Gaudet had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

In comments to the Buffalo Daily, Gillin admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
