| Indians Bang Out 11-4 Win Versus Lerna | The Jefferson Indians defeated the Lerna Lions, 11-4. Earning player of the game honors was second baseman Hugh Uttley, who was 3 for 6 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Ajavindu Shefali closed the door for Jefferson, picking up his 3rd save of the year. Jefferson now sits in last place in the Hank Aaron League Willie Mays Division at 19-25.
The Indians got a big at-bat from right fielder Wally Graham. For the game, Graham went 1-3 with 2 walks. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 48th hit of the season gave Jefferson a 3-2 lead.
