Tim Squarebriggs, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Riverside won. The second baseman went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Bill Carroll picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Lee Bullen was tagged with the loss. The Poly bumped their record to 23-20 with this latest triumph.
Squarebriggs was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 against the Golden Bears. With the game tied in the bottom of the fourth inning, he hit a run-scoring single that scored 1 and put Riverside in front, 1-0.
