| Stuessy Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Pitman High in Walk-Off Win | The Pitman High Panthers defeated the Lerna Lions, 8-7, at Batfish Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Pitman High was right fielder Bob Shaner. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Pitman High reliever Jared Braddick got the win, raising his record to 3-2. James Wheaton was tagged with the loss. Even with the win, the Panthers have a dismal 14-27 record.
The Panthers got a big at-bat from left fielder Danny Stuessy. For the game, Stuessy went 1-3 with 2 walks and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs. In the bottom of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 59th hit of the season gave Pitman High a 8-7 lead.
"We'll try to build on that win," Stuessy told the Pitman High Times.
