| Cardinals Win at Jefferson, 7-3 | The Montreal Cardinals defeated the Jefferson Indians, 7-3, at Ballpark of Monterrey HS today. Leading the charge for Montreal was right fielder Roy Greer. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Pete Rose Jr. got the win, improving to 4-1. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. Even with the win, the Cardinals have a dismal 12-29 record.
Greer had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the third inning, when he drew a walk. The Cardinals went on to win.
