| Hornets Prevail, 3-2, Over George Washington | Curt Gray pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The George Washington Patriots, despite Gray's fine outing, dropped a 3-2 decision to the Enterprise Hornets at Oranges Ballpark. The Hornets bumped their record to 22-19 with this latest triumph.
Tejano Moreno aided the Enterprise cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk.
George Washington manager Frank Robles said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
