| Inaba Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Norwich in Walk-Off Win | The Norwich Navigators took Derby pitcher Brad Fisher's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Chickenhawks Stadium. The final score had Norwich getting past the Panthers, 6-4. Fisher went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 10. The Navigators are now 18-23, while the Panthers fall to 17-24.
Norwich won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Luis Montes on the mound for Derby, designated hitter Ichiyo Inaba hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Navigators fans to their feet.
"I felt good up there," said Inaba. "I saw the ball well."
