| Diebold Excels, But Patriots Win | The Derby Panthers got a superb performance from left fielder Jeff Diebold. Still, it wasn't enough to beat George Washington. The Patriots won the game, 7-6. In spite of the loss, Diebold was named the player of the game. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. The winner was Jaden Levingston, who threw 89 pitches over 6.1 innings. The left-hander was charged with 6 runs on 8 hits. Frank Figueroa earned the save, his 4th, for the Patriots.
Sisto Larco, who is tied for 4th in the PRL with a 1.171 OPS, aided the George Washington cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 5.
"We found a way to get it done," Larco said.
The Patriots bumped their record to 30-10 with this latest triumph.
