| Bullen goes 3-for-4, Golden Bears Move to 24-16 | The Billings West Golden Bears beat the Tenafly Tigers, 9-6, at Ballpark of León HS. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter Lee Bullen, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Greg Rose earned the save, his 11th, for the Golden Bears. The Golden Bears bumped their record to 24-16 with this latest triumph.
Billings West used the clutch hitting of Gary Tyler to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to give the Golden Bears the lead, 3-2. For the game, Tyler had 1 single and 1 double in 6 at-bats.
"It was a solid team effort," said Tyler after the game.
