A 4-RBI performance from designated hitter Brian Fleet led the Santa Clara Vampires to a 12-3 win over the Francis Lewis Patriots. Santa Clara reliever John Arnold picked up the win to move to 3-1. Elijah Thomas suffered the loss. The Vampires raised their record to 16-24.

Fleet had a game-changing triple in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-2 fastball from Elijah Thomas, he banged a bases-clearing triple to center, giving the Vampires a 4-3 lead. It was the 2nd triple of the year for Fleet.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Santa Clara manager Juan Proenza.
