| Golden Bears Fall Short, 7-6, at Tenafly | The Billings West Golden Bears got a superb performance from right fielder Ken May. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Tenafly. The Tigers won the game, 7-6. In spite of the loss, May was named the player of the game. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Tenafly reliever Antonio Cerda picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Jaden Edwards was collared with the loss. The save was credited to Calvin Earle, his 3rd.
The Tigers got a big at-bat from left fielder Tim Kaupa. For the game, Kaupa was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 8th double of the season gave Tenafly a 5-3 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Kaupa said after the game.
The Tigers, now 14-25, know that wins in April count the same as wins in September.
