| Lions Stun Mustangs, 5-4 | The Downsview Mustangs got a sterling performance from pitcher Alan Weston, but the Lions still prevailed, 5-4. Weston was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 8 innings of 5-hit ball. Allen Belote picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-3. Bobby Spurlock was tagged with the loss. The Lions now own a record of 19-20.
Lerna's win came gift-wrapped. With two out in the bottom of the ninth, with the game tied, Justin Deisher reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run.
"We saved our best for last," said Deisher.
