| Islanders Stymie Pitman High, Take 4-1 Win | The Grand Island Islanders went home winners at Ballpark of Morelia HS, thanks in large part to starter Yong-zhan Chong. Chong silenced the Pitman High Panthers, enabling Grand Island to grab the 4-1 win. The Islanders bumped their record to 21-18 with this latest triumph.
Bill Robinson, who is tied for 10th in the HAL in total bases with 90, aided the Grand Island cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 3 with a hit by pitch.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Robinson said after the game.
