| Rhinos Come Back Late to Top Texans | Rubber City Rhinos starter Jose Gonzalez was in fine form against the Dallas Texans at The Rubber Grounds, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Rudy Cortez got the save, his 12th in 15 chances. Even with the win, the Rhinos have a dismal 23-59 record.
Had Tony Gomez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, Gomez hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Rhinos.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Dallas manager Héctor Flores said following the tough loss.
