| Islanders Turn Back Pitman High, 5-4 | The Grand Island Islanders overcame a good performance by Pitman High left fielder Danny Stuessy to knock off Pitman High, 5-4, at Ballpark of Morelia HS. Stuessy was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Dan Stamper earned the win to go to 5-2. He allowed 4 earned runs on 8 hits, with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts. The Islanders bumped their record to 20-18 with this latest triumph.
