| Panthers Win at Santa Clara, 11-6 | The Derby Panthers beat the Santa Clara Vampires, 11-6, at River Otters Ballpark. Derby first baseman Edgardo Cordero earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. At 15-22, the Panthers find themselves in 5th place in the Pete Rose League Roger Clemens Division.
Cordero had a key at-bat for Derby early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and gave Derby an early 2-0 lead.
