| Nomo Jr., Pleasantville Prevail in Pitchers' Duel | Fans who gathered at Stealth Ballpark saw a good contest between the Pleasantville Panthers and Jefferson Indians.
Hideo Nomo Jr. never let the Indians get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his changeup, to pitch the Panthers to a 2-1 win. Tyler Atterberry earned the save, his 2nd.
Jefferson could barely put a dent in Nomo Jr.. The right-hander tossed 128 pitches over 8.1 innings for the Panthers, allowing only 2 hits.
"We'll savor this win," Nomo Jr. told the Pleasantville Daily, "then get ready for the next game."
Even with the win, the Panthers have a dismal 11-26 record.
