| Great Day for Moorehead in Islanders Win | The Grand Island Islanders powered past the Kearny High Cardinals, 9-4, at Loggers Ballpark. Steve Moorehead was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2, to lead the charge. The Islanders bumped their record to 18-16 with this latest triumph.
In the top of the eighth inning, designated hitter Steve Kral came through big-time for the Islanders. With Grand Island leading 5-2, he belted a grand slam home run.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Kral.
