| Vampires Continue Skid Thanks to Andrews, Mustangs | Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Jaheim Andrews, the Downsview Mustangs defeated the Santa Clara Vampires, 5-3. Andrews was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Mustangs. Bobby Spurlock earned save number 5. Downsview has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
Andrews had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-0 fastball from John Arnold, he banged a 2-run home run to center, giving the Mustangs a 5-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Andrews.
"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Santa Clara skipper Juan Proenza.
