| Patriots Walk It Off for 21st Win of Season | The George Washington Patriots eked out a 9-8 win versus the Derby Panthers at Osprey Ballpark. Nobody did more than left fielder Gilbert Watkins, who captured player of the game honors. George Washington reliever Jayden Garner picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-1. Kyle Kellam was collared with the loss. George Washington has an impressive 21-7 record.
George Lazenby had a nice at-bat for the Patriots with no one out in the bottom of the 12th. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the second baseman grounded out, which would prove important in the George Washington win.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Watkins said.
