| Cardinals Roll to 10-1 Win Over Mustangs | Kearny High starter Jimmy Ward put a stranglehold on the San Marin offense. The right-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Cardinals to a 10-1 win. Ward picked up the win for Kearny High, going 8.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1. The Cardinals bumped their record to 17-11 with this latest triumph.
John Malinowski, who is tied for 9th in the HAL in bases on balls with 21, aided the Kearny High cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
