| Giants Bang Out 7-2 Win Versus Chunichi | Yomiuri starter Kyuichi Oki pitched effectively against the Chunichi Dragons at Ballpark of Nakashibetsu College. The right-hander led his team to a 7-2 win. Bill Brewer converted his 5th save in 6 tries. Chunichi has now lost 4 in a row.
Rickey De Angelis, who is tied for 7th in the CL in triples with 2, aided the Yomiuri cause with a solo home run in the top of the third. For the game, the left fielder was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs.
