Swallows Win at Yokohama, 8-2

Cuckoos Stadium was the site for Central League action featuring the Yokohama Bay Stars and Tokyo Yakult Swallows.

The Tokyo Yakult Swallows topped the Yokohama Bay Stars by the score of 8-2, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Frank Cassell. Cassell went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Swallows. Drew Marion, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4.2 innings.

Travis Maddox, who is the 6th-best prospect in the Swallows organization, aided the Tokyo Yakult cause with a solo home run in the top of the second. For the game, the shortstop went 1-4 with a home run.
