| Bay Stars Bang Out 6-4 Win Versus Chunichi | The Yokohama Bay Stars topped the Chunichi Dragons, 6-4, in Central League action at Cuckoos Stadium. The player of the game was Yokohama pitcher Cameron Gleim. Reliever Xiao-wei Li picked up the win. His record improves to 4-0. Hirofumi Yokota took the loss. The save went to Satoshi Kawaguchi, his 10th this season.
Den Matsumura chipped in for Yokohama with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 RBI.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Gleim said after the game.
The Bay Stars bumped their record to 26-22 with this latest triumph.
